Glass Protection - FAQs

How does the treatment work?

On a microscopic level, glass looks like a landscape of rafts and valleys, where dirt and grime can adhere and get stuck on the surface. Our glass protection treatment is based on nano-technology and makes the glass surface perfectly smooth and impossible for particles to adhere. Instead, the particles will sit "on top" of the surface, creating a easy to clean effect where you can just rinse and wipe off dirt without any scrubbing.

How long will the treatment last?

Depending on the conditions, our high quality nano-technology glass protection liquid, can last up to 10 years on brand new glass. We will always advise the warranty on your free no obligation quote. But as a general rule we give a 10 year warranty for brand new showers, 5 year for brand new balustrade glass. Used glass normally comes with half the warranty length.

After treating the glass, will I ever have to clean the glass again?

Yes! Remember our treatment is a low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. Saying that, you'll save up to 90% of the cleaning time as the dirt will sit on top of the surface and can easily be rinsed or wiped off. No scrubbing needed!

How do I care for my glass after treatment?

We will advise you on the best cleaning regime for your surface when applying the treatment but general guidelines as per below. We will also supply an After Care Kit to make sure you have the right tools.

Showers: Squeegee off the glass after each use. Once a week, wipe down the glass with a microfiber cloth and mild detergent or flowing body soap, rinse and squeegee off.

Balustrades: If located by a pool, rinse off after each use. Once a month, wipe down with a microfiber cloth and mild detergent, rinse and squeegee off.

The beading effect is gone!

Generally this is because the glass needs a clean as there has been a build-up of dirt on the glass. Simply use the white scourer pad provided in your After Care Kit, and some mild detergent and go over the surface. However, if the warranty has expired, it might be time to book us in for a new treatment.

Does the treatment impact visual appearance?

No. This nano-technology liquid product is optically clear and doesn't distort the view.

Can I order more cleaning supplies?

You can! Please contact us by phone or email to order more squeegees, microfiber cloths, scourer pads or glass cleaner.

Window Tinting Film - FAQs

Will window film stop my furniture, art, and flooring from fading?

Even in a dark climate controlled museum basement items will fade over time. However, tinting your windows will slow down fading considerably! Fading is mainly caused by a combination of UV-light, solar heat and visible light. Window film can reduce all of these! Contact us for a chat and we can answer any questions you may have.

Can window film give me night-time privacy?

In a nut shell, no. Only frosted film can give you night-time privacy!

Due to the law of physics, using a reflective solar film for night time privacy is impossible. To get the privacy effect with a reflective film, the light outside of the window needs to be 4 x stronger than on the inside.

What cleaner can I use for my tinted windows?

You can use any ammonia-free mild detergent to clean your tinted glass. We love the Eurocoat Glass Cleaner that we supply. Contact us to order your bottle.

What warranty do you offer on your window tinting?

Once a week, wipe down the glass with a microfiber cloth and mild detergent or flowing body soap, rinse and squeegee off.

A bubble has appeared under my newly installed film!
